4 days into the European Tour

The past 4 days I've been sick as a dog. I think I got a throat infection. I picked up a wide variety of medicin along the way so I should be getting better soon.
The day before yesterday was that Reflections fest and judging from the pictures that may have been one of my highlights with mliw so far. It was also the first time I played Holland with these goons and besides being sick I was supernervous. for real. No Turning Back and Rise And Fall were best bands of the day as far as I'm concerned and besides the music it was awesome getting to hang out with a whole bunch of friends again.

Today I got to see November Coming Fire and they were awesome. It sucks it takes another 4 weeks before we meet up with them again.

Andskotinn Tussa

So as I'm typing this it's 3 in the morning and we decided to just skip a night as we have to leave for the airport at 5. A couple hours ago we went to these hot springs which was awesome. Check it out at www.bluelagoon.com. I rubbed this mud on my face which made my skin 10 years younger in 10 minutes. After that we hung out with our new viking friends who brought us all this food which is great too ofcourse.

The show yesterday was awesome, we couldn't have wished for a warmer welcome. I will try and post pictures once I get them.

Tomorrow a day off in Arnhem before 5 weeks of mainland Europe. I'm siked because it's gonna be my first time playing Holland since I joined. I'm looking forward to some great partying.

I've seen it

Yesterday I've seen the northern light and it was huge. We saw it on the way to a drink in a bar where we saw a girl with a hoola hoop, the singer of brian jonestown massacre and Iceland's most famous handball player.
Also in a supermarket we saw Iceland's favourite snack; sheepshead. you take a sheepshead and boil it. when it's done you eat the meat straight of the skull. apparently the eyes are the best part.

Tonight's the night of the show and I'm superpumped after a good ten days no playing.
The show is with I Adapt and Fighting Shit a.o. It's looking to be great night.

Iceland

I arrived in Iceland yesterday and I don't know what you heard about Iceland but it's cold and icy, hence the name Iceland.
Thor and the Thrashmaster showed me a bit around Reykjavik and the city's beautiful. Today were gonna walk around some more. Tomorrow we got an interview on prime time radio scheduled, tuesday is the show and wednesday they're taking us to see the geysers.
My guitar got lost in the crazy luggage system they have, hopefully it will show up today. Oli who's doing the show came to pick me up. Oli is a student slash musician slash sessionmusician slash soundguy slash model.

I can't believe the explosion show in New York is only a week ago. Here's what they posted about the afterparty.

I hate flying

Just got back in Rotterdam after another boring flight. I hate flying, I can't sleep on planes. I bought Johnny Cash's biography and read it front to cover in six hours.
Now I'm gonna shave, shower and get some sleep in.

Saturday I leave for Iceland, sike. To bad 4 days off isn't enough to hang out with all the people I'd like to hang out with while I'm back home but what do you do?

Tour's over

We just played our last show of the tour with panic. Yesterday we had to say goodbye to the explosion. We went to a bar with both bands after the show and partied in NYC.
Today last one of the panic reunion. I'm flying home tomorrow and then I got a good 4 days of before the Eurotour starts in Iceland.

Quick update

Allright, I had limited internet acces so I typed some of this stuff earlier.

Jan 11th.
So we just did 3 shows with this new band Spanish Bombs who have ex members of let it burn and who are great. They made sure we did not forget to party and the day before yesterday their bassplayer got a face tattoo.
The shows have been incredible with NJ as a highlight again. Cans were flying through the air, Jack stabbed somebody in the eye and Max got slapped in the face by Jeff. Also my friend Julia came to the show which was great. Tim Ensign's new band played too.
Providence was great with Jeff kicking Max in the stomach and Connecticut saw Max stagediving on my guitar. Max is a good dude, he lives at Crewtonz in Brooklyn and he took the tourpictures I posted earlier on here.
The downer is the van got broken into in Brooklyn and they stole some random stuff. So for the past 3 days I am without an instrument cable which is highly annoying. But all the instruments and money and stuff was still there thank god. The cops told us this wouldn't have happened if we behaved more like new yorkers. I wonder what's different in the way New Yorkers park their cars so they don't get broken into. I don't know what you heard about cops in the US, but what I heard is true; they are all assholes, for real.
Tonight is the first of 3 shows with the explosion, I'm excited.

Jan 13th.
Tonight we did our second show with the explosion and the first of three with panic. The explosion are simply amazing, they play all the songs I wanna hear. Panic were great too and I'm excited to see 'm 2 more times.
Yesterday was my birthday but I forgot and only remembered it this morning. I did not forget to party though. The Washington show was beyond expectation. Dave Byrd was there which was great even though I hardly got to talk to him.

Philadelphia and D4

I arrived at 15:30 in philadelphia today after an long and boring flight. Brooke came to pick me up and we went to a Dillinger Four show where also Hard Skin and Paint It Black played. It was fun but right now it's nine and I'm supertired. I'm pretty sure two goodbye parties in a row have nothing to do with that.
