MLIW in Ibbenburen

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kHkNn3UGsnk&search=modern%20life%20is%20war

Ibbenburen on the last Eurotour. This show was incredible, the video of this looks terrific.

I`m off to club prog rock for sakebombs. I love Japan.

Japan pt.II

Japan continues to excite me. We spent two days off in tokyo where we visited a buddist temple, the biggest toystore I`ve ever seen, ate sushi, downtown Tokyo which is the busiest place in Japan and a cave in show because we`re playing a bunch of shows with them, of which yesterday was the first. It was good times.
This morning we visited Nagoya castle which was very impressive and now we`re in Shinsaibashi in the hotel lobby waiting for our room to be ready. After that hurry back to the club for soundcheck and after that the waiting game begins, again.

On a side note: I`m selling my gibson marauder so anybody interested drop me a line. I think it`s from 76 but I will look it up later tonight and post here.

Japan is great! (edited)

So I`m in Japan for a couple days now and it`s safe to say this is one of the most exciting and beautiful countries we ever been to.
The first couple days we were in and around tokyo. Now I don`t know what you heard about tokyo but that city is intense. It`s got billboards everywhere, literally everywhere, it`s got modern architecture that makes rotterdam look like amateurs and it`s just insanely huge.

Another great thing is how everything overhere is pink and cartoony. Just walking into a seven eleven in the morning makes my day because everything looks so happy and cheery.

Today we played for hours away from tokyo and on the way there was saw Mount Fiji which was really cool, as poesman would say.

tomorrow and the day after we got two days off and we`re gonna explore more of Tokyo.

List of crazy stuff I`ve seen:
Gameboys for 5 dollar
Mangochocolate
pink kit kats
an adult video which was all about a girl breaking an egg between her boobies
dried stingrays eaten as a snack
mount fiji
ancient mountain dew cans
figurines of 6 year old girls in adult positions
the jolly nigger piggy bank
the casinos, the most intense casinos you will ever see
the arcades, the most intense arcades you will ever see

oooh and I found a Puffy AmiYumi cd!

2 Reviews

This one's from the Saalfeld show. I tried to read it and from what I could make out it seems like a good review. I will not bore you with pictures of this show but if you really want they're somewhere on that site.
My Way” und “Witness” - vielleicht sogar in voller Länge. Aber wen interessiert das schon? Spätestens nach 5 Modern Life Is War Songs kann eh keiner mehr und ist zufrieden. Der Rest ist Zugabe. Und was für eine." (triggerfish.de)

I found this on kindamuzik.net and it's in Dutch. This was the Antwerp show.

Japan in 2 days. sike!

Here's some pictures of Karlskrona.

"Figure skating is a man ass show"

Tiger Lou was great.

I look like I'm in pain in the next picture. Joy however looks like a robot. Oh yeah, I had a haircut, finally.

Karlskrona, Sweden

A week's vacantion in Karlskrona, Sweden is sure doing me good. I'm catching up on movies I hadn't seen yet but really wanted to see as wel as watching all of season 5 of Six Ft Under. Movies I seen so far and recommend:
Capote
You, me and everyone we know
Lonesome Jim
Hotel Rwanda

Hey Rold! I picked up The Plot Against America and though I haven't read much of it yet I think it's great.

To add to the adventure of being in Sweden, they have that birdflu thing here too and the first bunch of dead birds were found in front of Joy-Ann's school 1 minute away from where I am typing this. Today Joy's housemate got sick with flu symptons. So I guess most European countries are dealing with the birdflu and the pig's plague. And pissed off fundamentalists who can't handle cartoons. Interesting times.

They have this food here which is fries with salad with cheese and garlicsauce. It's one of the best cheap dishes I ever ate.
Not much else going on here. I'm just hanging out. Today I bought a new sweater.
I will put pictures of the beatiful surroundings up tomorrow. There's lots of snow here.

TGR SJARM

If all goes according to plan I'm gonna see Tiger Lou this week so here's a tribute to the man.

Pics from austria

2 pics of the Austria show from . It was Jeff's birthday so here's Poesman who was Ommission's roadie bringing Jeff a cake. To the right is Sheep who's holding a bag full of liquor.

This makes me think of a month ago when it was my birthday and I forgot. Suzanne Reflections reminded me a day later. But I did not forget to party though.

Florence, Italy a couple weeks back

At the Florence show this south american guy punked the entire audience by faking his death onstage during our set. The doctor in the room was yelling to take of the guy's sweater while we were just hoping he didn't die. The all of a sudden he jumped up, everybody screamed and he went into this rap with us jamming over it. here's a movie clip of the jam with a black flag cover following right behind it. enjoy.

Also I just moved all my stuff out of my room in Rotterdam with a lot of help from Bakkie and White Mark. Thanx guys. No thanx to the cop who gave me a ticket as a goodbye present from Rotterdam for not wearing a seatbelt on the backbench of a van.
This is Rotterdam:

And this is a cop:

It's great to be home

Tonight I hung out with daddy d and white mark in arnhem. A small party where tons of people came and left again but the three of us remained. Because we are brokeback mountaineers we got all giggly and took girlypics. Is that wrong?

Two more days until I go to Sweden for a week to hang out with Joy. I can't wait!

And another one from Antwerp

I'm bringing the rock in this pic. Now I think of it this was most likely my last show with long hair like that.
